How Are You Ageing?
Most health assessments measure your body. This one begins with a different question. Not how old you are. How much of you is still present?
Most people already know they should exercise more, eat better, sleep longer and manage stress. Yet lasting change rarely begins with more advice. It begins with identity.
Recently, while riding my Triumph motorbike, I began thinking about the different identities I carry. Father, brother, motorbiker, yogi, football fan, cyclist, writer, teacher. None of those identities replaces the others. They are all different expressions of something deeper.
That was the moment I realised what a Meta-Ager really is.
A Meta-Ager is the umbrella identity for people who choose participation over withdrawal. It isn’t tied to one activity. It isn’t about motorbikes, yoga, swimming or football. Those are simply different ways participation finds expression. Every Meta-Ager will express that identity differently. The activity is never the point.
Meta-Age is built on one simple belief.
Ageing is inevitable. Withdrawal is not.
The questionnaire won’t tell you your age. It will tell you how much of yourself you’re still bringing to each day. The Meta-Age Handbook then explains why identity, participation and the standards you repeat determine who you become. Together they introduce the philosophy behind the Meta-Ager and provide a practical framework for building a life of continued participation.
If you’re looking for another health programme, this probably isn’t it. If you’re ready to think differently about the rest of your life, start here.
It takes less than two minutes.
